I had started working at Union Square Wine in NYC a few months before, and the wine director put this into a blind line-up at the staff Halloween party. Prior to that evening, I had had pretty negative experiences with South African wines and did not have a very favorable impression of them. This wine blew me away and instantly converted me!!
